"What children with cancer and their loved ones always need to remember is that hope can spread faster than cancer. Hope is real." — Barbara Reid, CLF Founder "Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey towards it, casts the shadow of our burdens behind us." — Samuel Smiles "Hope smiles on the beginning of the year to come, whispering that it will be happier." — Alfred Lord Tennyson

One of the biggest obstacles to overcome is the loss of hair. Having to look different and worrying about fitting in should not be a part of the cancer battle. CLF provides thousands of custom made, 100% human hair wigs with kid-friendly hats (Hugs-U-Wear) to children around the country.

Thanks so much for helping to boost Amanda's self-confidence during chemotherapy! It's tough!

I love to have hair again! Thanks so much, you're very nice

Love, Amanda N.

Thank you so much for the "hug"!! Micah loves it. She's 4 years old so she doesn't really care too much about not having hair. But it still bothers her sometimes. She wears the hug whenever she feels like having hair, a lot of times she'll leave the house in it then take it off while we're out. Sometimes the opposite. It makes her feel more fancy when playing dress up or mommy. Of course I think she's a cutie either way, but I am very thankful that you have provided this gift for her. She doesn't have a lot of freedom to always choose what she can or cannot do. Now she can choose if she wants hair or not!! Thanks again!!

I am writing to thank you on behalf of myself and my daughter for the hair piece that she received through the Greenville Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Center in South Carolina. I want you to know what a difference this has made to my daughter. Ashley was diagnosed with cancer in October 2001. She had just started her first year of high school. She was fourteen. I won't tell you how this has changed all of our lives because I am sure you are well aware. Ashley has always worn a ski cap since loosing her hair. Her appearance seemed much less important for many months. This has made such a tremendous difference for her. We are hoping she will start school again next year and with her hair piece I know it will make the transition much easier.

Again thank you so much, Laura W.
